Tesla CPO Buyer Guide and my Destin Florida trip

All started with a rental at Turo. Turo.com is a site where you can rent your neighbor's car for a reasonable rate. So sky is the limit, becuase you can find all types of posh cars too. My curiosity of driving a Tesla made me rent a 2013 Model S85 there. It had 90,000 miles on it, but felt and drove really great. The owner was also very consultative to explain about the car and process.

Heights Car Show, April 2016

Show was cool with +400 new and old vehicles attending, along with a super sunny but not hot weather. This is the 2nd show i have taken my 1958 to, after Dallas Auto Show. There were quite many Corvettes, 2 1954s and 1 1956 older than mine.

FiTech Street EFI 400 HP Conversion - 1958 Corvette

I have converted my 1955 Belair to Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI in 2003, and that is one of the best things i have done so far in terms of drive ability. Now having the 1958 Corvette with a non-original 1958 Rochester carburetor; i know that tuning, cold starting, summer temperatures in Texas and smell of gas in the garage will be always an issue for me.

I was aiming to buy a MSD Atomic set with Edelbrock Sump Pump; however lately noticed a new company Fitech with a new TBI and fuel pump solution at $1,200 total. They have reviews  from people who had driven them around 500 miles. It looks perfect and has more features than others such as self learning. Price is also close to half of competition.

There is no modification on the car hence no permanent damage to your originality besides the following fully and easily reversible tasks:
- heater hose insert for temp sensor
- add a return line to gas tank sending unit (i used the original steel line for fuel return, not cutting anything)
- remove the fuel pump and install a blocking plate

Engine Casting: 3789935, L121 date code, FI228CD stamp

2013 Spring came fast

So spring is here and time to get the cars of our garage. Unfortunately, 51's engine block has two cracks after my brothers wedding, most probably it was already there but repaired. So again will spend time in repair shop.

And here is my 57 with its new sunvisor, with my wife Defne and son Doruk.

Classic Car gathering at Anıtkabir

AKOD has organised a gathering at our beloved leader Atatürk's mouseleum Anıtkabir, on August 30th (Victory day of Independance War). 70 classical cars drove in convoy to Anıtkabir and displayed their cars along with a visit to Atatürks grave.

Classic Car Turkey magazine saved a page for me in September 2012

To translate shortly, they were referring to my acquisition of 2 new classics in 2012 (1951 Deluxe Belair Coupe and 1957 Truck) and my 1955 which i own for 18+ years now.
